New Patients
Here is what to expect, what to bring, and how your first visit works at Care Family Medical & Chiropractic in Tulsa.
Your first visit takes about an hour and starts with a conversation, not a treatment. Dr. Smith wants to understand what is going on before he recommends anything, so the first appointment is built around listening, examining, and explaining.
What to bring
- A photo ID
- Your insurance information, if you have it
- Any accident or attorney paperwork, if you were in a crash
- Recent imaging related to your injury, if you have it
What to expect
We start by reviewing your health history and the reason for your visit. Dr. Smith then examines the area causing trouble and, when it helps, checks how you move. He explains what he finds in plain language and answers your questions before any care begins.
From there, you get a treatment plan shaped around your injury or pain and your goals. We will walk you through what the plan involves, how long it may take, and what you can do at home to support your progress.
Comfortable, drug-free care
Our care is hands-on and avoids surgery and medication wherever possible. The goal is to treat the cause of the problem so you feel better and move better, not simply to mask the symptom for a day.
